FPCI HISTORY

The Late Founder
Bishop E.F. Morris &
Evangelist O.B. Morris (Nanna)

On June 7th, 1934, many independent churches and organization movements, being represented by their Bishops and Pastors of the Pentecostal faith, assembled in a general council to contrive a plan and system by which the Pentecostal Churches may become closer together; manifest a recognized relationship before the world and have fellowship one with another regardless of name. movement or church. So long as fundamental principals of their doctrines were the same, minor differences would not sever their fellowship.

So, it pleased God to suffer them (us) to organize the International Federation of Pentecostal Churches. Only excepting the churches and movements with their Bishops, Elders, and Evangelist that believe in and teach the Godhead, Salvation, Sanctification, Baptism by Immersion and Baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4), Adverse to Spiritualism, etc. Membership in the Federation is obtained by virtue of a certificate of International Federation pledging cooperation and fidelity to the Federation.

The purpose of the Federation is to be a support. The Federation grants admission, but will not interfere with leadership, manner of government, name, property or any such things. We join ourselves together by pledging full fellowship, helping each other, supporting one another, and encouraging each other.
